March Prayer Requests

Please pray for our prison ministries!

Metanoia Mentor Ministry - Northwest Georgia and Eastern Tennessee

We need Christian men and women willing to be mentors to inmates who want to grow in Christ and transform their lives.

  1. As of this morning there are 122 men on the waiting list at Walker State Prison in Rock Spring Georgia. The average time on the waiting list is 16 months.

  2. We need additional women to serve as mentors at The Next Door, a women’s transition facility in Chattanooga.

  3. We have new mentoring programs at Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville, TN. There is a men’s prison and women’s prison at the complex. We need 50 mentors at each facility.

  4. Last year we had communication with the chaplain at Hays State Prison in Trion, GA about resuming mentoring at his facility. Pray for progress at that location.

  5. Pray for the Georgia Department of Corrections to clear up their backlog of new volunteer applications. There are new volunteers that have been waiting for four months for their applications to be approved.

  6. We have six groups of mentors that go to Walker. Each group as a Group Leader. We need a new Group Leader for one of the groups.

  7. There will be a new mentor orientation for mentors for Walker and The Next Door on Saturday March 5th.

  8. There will be a new mentor orientation for the two Bledsoe County Correctional Complex facilities on Saturday March 12th.

MINTS Seminary-in-Prison

  1. Additional qualified teachers for the program at Walker State Prison.

  2. We have three new regional developers: Chris Coppolo in South Florida, Jason Dalton in Central Florida, and Tommy Peterson in North Florida. They will be connecting with chaplains and wardens in prisons in their areas, recruiting teachers, teaching their own classes, and raising financial support.

  3. Programs in Missouri, Illinois, and South Carolina were suspended during pandemic shutdowns. We need wisdom on when should we seek to resume those programs and we will need people to help with the work.

Thank you!

Much love, Barry
